PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPARENTLY ABANDONED LAND - RANGITIKEI DISTRICT


TAKE NOTICE that Rangitikei District Council intends to exercise its statutory powers conferred by s.77 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 in respect of the land described below.

 1.     Apply to the District Court one month after the date of this notice for an order declaring the land to be abandoned, and

2.     To authorise Rangitikei District Council to sell or lease the land –

Because the rates have not been paid to  Rangitikei District Council  for three (3) years and the rate payer of the land:

(a)  is unknown, or

(b)  cannot be found after due inquiry and has no known New Zealand agent, or

(c)  is deceased and has no personal representative, or

(d)  has given notice to the Rangitikei District Council of his or her intention to abandon the land or has abandoned the land.

 Valuation number: 1362004501 - Lot 2 Deposited Plan 381087 (325009 Wellington land registry) in the name of Buckley Bendall Developments Limited. The property is situated at 26 Toia Street, Marton.

 Valuation number: 1339020200 - Lot 1 Deposited Plan 30220 (WN54C/761 Wellington land registry) in the name of David John Barnhill. The property is situated at Makuhou Road Turakina.

 Valuation number: 1362003012 - Lot 23 Deposited Plan 21899 (WN47D/414 Wellington land registry) in the name of Cameron  Clotworthy. The property is situated at 11 Gordon Crescent Marton.

 Valuation number: 1331026600 - Pohonuiotane 1 Block (WN10A/390 Wellington land registry) in the name of Joyce Enni Marsh. The property is situated at Koeke Road.

 The land is situated within the territory of the Rangitikei District Council.
