TAKE NOTICE that Kaikoura District Council intends to exercise its statutory powers conferred by s.77 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 in respect of the land described below.

1.     Apply to the District Court one month after the date of this notice for an order declaring the land to be abandoned, and

2.     To authorise Kaikoura District Council to sell or lease the land –

Because the rates have not been paid to  Kaikoura District Council  for three (3) years and the rate payer of the land:

(a)  is unknown, or

(b)  cannot be found after due inquiry and has no known New Zealand agent, or

(c)  is deceased and has no personal representative, or

(d)  has given notice to the Kaikoura District Council of his or her intention to abandon the land or has abandoned the land.

Section 2 Blk VIII Whernside SD (MB26/61 Wellington land registry) in the name of John Abraham Moore - Deceased & Robert Henry Northe. The property is situated at 231-247 Kekerengu Valley Road and is within the territory of the Kaikoura District Council.
